Frock & Froll

28 Feb 2008

Rockin Creative Control at The Cellar Bar has played host to a wealth of rock talent over the years.  And Tuesday 27th February was no exception when Frodo Freud rocked.  And rocked hard.  Well... Quite hard...  Certainly looked rockin'.
The evening saw yet nother cracking gig in the bowels of South Hill Park Arts Centre.  A Flamenco-intro to the sombre yet not-at-all-melancholic-really Happy Song went down with a wry snigger.  And the Frodo Freud Free for All, back by public demand, saw two lucky gig-goers win a tin of tuna and a fluoro slappy wrist band.
The stars of the evening were the tattoo-sleeves-of-rock-joy.
And possibly even more impressive than our feisty forearms were the band who follwed us on; Projecthirteen a fantastically funky 6-piece featuring a Jocelyn Brown sound-alike, some great musicians and a keyboard player who performs as nothing more than a hat.  Really rockin' stuff.
